In accordance with the amendments of MARPOL(Marine Pollution treaty) Annex Ⅵ that were
adopted at 70th session of the MEPC(Marine Environment Protection Committee), collecting
fuel oil consumption data of all ships of 5,000 gross tonnage and above engaged on
international voyages is forced from 1 March 2018. Consequently, the ship applicable to the
amendments must be verified on the ship fuel oil consumption data collection plan (SEEMP
Part II) and report the collected data.
Korean Register is authorized by various flags including Republic of korea, and plan to provide
verification service on SEEMP Part II and reported data.
This technical document provides general explanation of the DCS, a revision of the SEEMP Part
II Sample, and information of Korean Register’s verification service on SEEMP Part II. Ship
owner, builders and related stakeholders are kindly invited to pay full attention to implement
this amendments accordingly taking into consideration this technical document.
